life is wonderful.

Life is a pretty good thing.

I’m a little obsessed with my latest creation.  It was inspired by this: http://www.louisabufardeci.net/site/pages/recent.html, which I stumbled upon one day.  It’s some kind of artistic representation of some world statistics, but I haven’t taken the time to actually read it so I don’t really understand it. I love the colors she used, and I thought it was lovely-looking so I decided to recreate it.  Amazingly enough, all of the leaf- or bird-looking things are actually the shapes of countries (in hers, not in mine).  Take a look.

Lovely!

I hope your Sunday has been happy.  I find Sundays to be the best days to listen to the best music (Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Debussy currently top this list) and read the best books (the amount of secular literature that spiritually enlightens me is incredible) and look at the best things (the March picture in my Monet calendar is simply uplifting, as you can see here) and think about how to become better.  Today in Sunday School we talked about the Sermon on the Mount and we discussed the verses that seem to contradict each other– “Let thine alms be in secret” and “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works”.  I decided that the difference is really just intention. If your intentions are pure, then I think it’s fine, good even, if people see you acting righteously, but I think it becomes difficult to not want acknowledgment after you know people have seen.  Having completely pure intentions, not wanting anyone to think a certain way about you, is hard, for me, at least.  It’s definitely something for me to work on.

And through all this pondering, I sit here eating pumpkin chocolate chip cookies made by Georgia, and I think that life is a pretty good thing.
